Technician

Job Challenge:
This is a position where the person needs to have both hands-on experience, good technical skills & be computer literate.

Qualifications:
Min certificate in Manufacturing, Process, Business, Quality or other relevant qualification.

Min. experience:
The candidate must have a proven track record in a ‘hands on role’ and also be computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Office packages in particular Word and Excel. Experience in quality or a medical device/pharma environment would be advantageous but not essential.

Your profile:
Candidates should have the appropriate practical experience within the industry; a technical qualification at a suitable level is desirable. Have a proven and demonstrated work ethic. Be able to work as part of a small team and be flexible. The ability to carry out machining or manufacturing of samples is essential. Samples require to be manufactured by hand to a high standard so it is essential that the candidate takes pride in their work and has the ability to deliver an acceptable quality of work. Be computer literate. A clean driving licence with own transport is required.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report to the Managing Director or designee
• Complete Quality documentation as set by the Quality Co-ordinator
• Complete stock takes on production and R&D materials as required
• Ordering of material supplies driven by stock levels
• Liaise with suppliers regarding ordering & delivery dates.
• Manufacture of samples in accordance with company procedures.
• Hands on role in the manufacturing area
• Write manufacturing procedures as required
